Privacy notice / Record and responsibility

Privacy notice.
Your enquiry, on record.

A commercial shelving enquiry contains more than a sketch. Zunbik receives contact details and technical submission data when you ask about custom steel work near Austin. This notice explains those records, the support chat, and your choices about advertising storage.

Effective: October 10, 2026Last updated: October 10, 2026Applies to zunbik.com

The ledger separates what happens from why it happens. US state privacy law applies as relevant to your location and the law's scope, including California's CCPA/CPRA and other state laws in force. The European rights section addresses visitors covered by the GDPR.

For a copy or correction of a record, use the data request route. For help using this page or the enquiry form, use the accessibility contact. You do not need to submit a new fabrication enquiry to exercise a privacy right.

Privacy clauses / What is recorded and why
ClauseWhat it meansWhy it applies
01 / ResponsibilityWho operates the site

Zunbik, trading at zunbik.com, is responsible for the personal information handled through this site and is the controller for the processing described here.

83 Station Road, Werkstatt 2, Austin, Texas 88799, Austin, Texas, United States

The workshop can be reached at [email protected]. This is also the data request address.

The operator deciding how an enquiry is handled must be identifiable. Your request comes to Zunbik, rather than to a marketplace or a checkout service.

02 / InputsData collected

The inquiry form receives your name, phone, email, address, kind of enquiry, message, requested specification, and consent tick. Optional fields contain only what you choose to provide. The source field lets you state how you found the site.

With a submission, the site records the IP address, browser user-agent string, referring URL, the moment the form was rendered, and the moment it was sent. Server and access logs contain technical request information.

Support chat keeps your conversation and any name or contact details you supply, together with the consent associated with that conversation. A token is kept in your browser so you can return to the chat.

Browser storage includes the consent record site_consent_v2 and the chat token. Advertising links carry gclid, msclkid, or fbclid; a referring or landing URL can contain those identifiers. Advertising and analytics storage follows your consent choice.

No account, password, payment, or card data is requested. Nothing is sold through this site and no payment is taken here.

A reply requires contact information. A scope needs the details of the intended work. Technical records help distinguish genuine submissions from abuse and diagnose a request that failed.

Please leave unrelated personal information out of a drawing or message. A specification for steel storage fabrication in Austin does not need a copy of an identity document.

03 / UsePurposes

Contact details are used to answer you and continue the enquiry. Dimensions, site information, and your requested specification are used to assess the proposed work and discuss a written scope.

Chat messages and the browser token maintain the conversation you opened. Consent records apply your storage choice. Technical submission data and logs support delivery of the site, error diagnosis, and protection against unwanted automated submissions.

Advertising identifiers and permitted analytics help attribute visits and enquiries to paid campaigns and measure campaign performance. Advertising personalization uses the corresponding permission, not the checkbox for handling your workshop enquiry.

Each category has a job. Replying to a message is separate from measuring an advertisement. Declining optional storage does not prevent you from reading the services or contacting the workshop.

04 / Paid trafficAdvertising platforms

Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic to this site. Google attaches gclid to an advertising click, Microsoft attaches msclkid, and Meta attaches fbclid.

In click attribution records, the platform pairing is google ads / gclid, microsoft advertising / msclkid, and Meta Ads / fbclid. These values identify the advertising click; they are not a measurement of the steel work or a customer reference number.

A click identifier can arrive in the URL before you make a storage choice. That arrival does not grant permission to store advertising information.

Paid clicks are part of how visitors reach Zunbik today. The privacy notice covers that traffic alongside enquiries sent directly from the site.

The platforms also operate their own services under their own privacy notices.

05 / PermissionConsent Mode v2

Consent Mode v2 holds ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied until you allow storage. All four signals are set back to denied the moment you decline or withdraw.

The consent mode choice is recorded in the browser under site_consent_v2. Nothing else on this site persists a consent choice. Use Cookie choices in the footer to change it; the cookie statement explains the controls.

Denied storage does not mean that no tag is loaded or no technical request takes place. The denied signals restrict advertising and analytics storage and the permitted use of data. Necessary request handling continues.

The four signals tell the advertising and measurement systems which permissions you have given. Your consent to a reply is not substituted for storage consent.

Withdrawing permission stops future consent-based processing; it does not make processing that was lawful before withdrawal unlawful.

06 / RecipientsProviders and platforms

Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC provides Google Ads, attaches gclid to paid clicks and receives consent signals.

Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd provides Microsoft Advertising, which attaches msclkid. Its handling is described at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd provides Meta Ads and attaches fbclid to its campaign links.

The hosting provider serves the site and stores the enquiry database. The mail provider carries enquiry notifications to the operator's inbox. These providers process the records needed to deliver those services.

Advertising recipients receive information according to the consent signals and their service roles. A platform can act as an independent controller for its own processing; it is not simply the workshop's storage provider.

The site needs hosting and a mail route to deliver an enquiry. The paid traffic services use identifiers and consent information for advertising measurement.

To ask which hosting or mail provider handles a particular record, contact Zunbik through the data request route. Include the approximate date of the enquiry so we can identify the relevant record.

07 / LocationInternational transfers

Zunbik operates in the United States. A visitor sending an enquiry from another country sends that information to a US business. Hosting, mail delivery and the advertising platforms can involve processing outside the country where information was collected.

Where European data protection rules apply, a restricted onward transfer requires a lawful safeguard, such as an applicable adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with any supplementary measures required for that transfer. Consent to a workshop reply is not treated as a blanket waiver of transfer protection.

Ask us about the destination and safeguards relevant to your record through the data request route below. We do not describe every recipient or destination as offering identical privacy laws.

The location of the visitor and the location of a service provider can differ. Transfer protections address that difference; they do not remove your access or complaint rights.

08 / DurationRetention periods

Enquiries and their email copies: 24 months. This covers the enquiry record and the notification carried to the inbox.

Chat transcripts: 12 months. The browser token allows the conversation to be resumed; removing a token from the browser is not a request to erase the stored transcript.

Server and access logs: 30 days. These are technical records, not a permanent customer history.

The record of a consent choice: 12 months. The choice is stored in site_consent_v2. Clearing browser storage can remove it sooner and does not delete a previously submitted enquiry.

These are Zunbik's retention periods. A platform's own records are governed by its notice. A specific legal preservation duty can require a relevant record to be held separately from routine deletion.

A message may need follow-up after the first reply. That does not justify retaining every technical request indefinitely.

Ask for erasure if you want a record reviewed before its normal retention period ends. We explain any legal reason that prevents complete deletion.

09 / ProtectionSecurity and limits

The site uses HTTPS for transmission. Server-side checks validate submissions, and automated-submission checks reduce misuse of the enquiry route. Access to stored enquiry records is restricted to the operator's authorised handling routes.

A chat token gives access to a conversation, so treat the browser holding it as part of that conversation. On a shared device, do not leave private messages open. Send only the information needed for the work.

No internet transmission or storage system is risk-free. Do not send a password, card number, door code, or sensitive identity document through a workshop message.

Protection includes reducing the information collected as well as controlling access to it. A privacy notice is not a guarantee that every security incident is impossible.

10 / Browser signalGlobal Privacy Control

Global Privacy Control is honoured as an opt-out without asking again. The global privacy control signal carried by the Sec-GPC header is treated as a request to opt out of sale or sharing and targeted advertising where applicable.

Optional advertising and analytics consent stays denied in that context. You can still submit an enquiry, use the public pages, or ask a question by phone or email.

A recognised browser opt-out is a privacy choice, not an invitation to repeatedly request permission. It does not erase messages already sent to the workshop.

11 / AudienceChildren

This site is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. The enquiry and chat routes are for people discussing workshop services, not for children to send personal details.

If a child has sent information, a parent or guardian should contact [email protected] so the record can be identified and removed. Do not send further sensitive information to prove the point.

The workshop does not need children's data to assess a steel fabrication brief. An unintended submission should be dealt with directly rather than left in a normal enquiry record.

12 / RecourseComplaints

You may complain to your state Attorney General. California residents may also complain to the California Privacy Protection Agency.

Visitors covered by the GDPR may lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority, including the authority in their usual place of residence or work, or where they believe an infringement occurred.

You can contact Zunbik first to ask about the handling of a record, but contacting us is not a condition of exercising a right to complain to an authority.

A disagreement with the operator does not end your options. Supervisory and state authorities provide a separate route under the laws that apply to you.

13 / RevisionsChanges to this notice

Changes are announced by publishing the revised notice on this page and updating its last-updated line. Material changes to data use are identified in the notice rather than concealed in a renamed clause.

A revision does not turn a declined storage choice into permission. If a new purpose requires consent, that permission must be requested before the new consent-based processing begins.

The effective date identifies the version you are reading. Reviewing a policy is not the same action as allowing advertising storage.

14 / Legal bases

Each purpose needs its own basis.

For European visitors, the following describes the GDPR basis for the processing. US state rights apply according to the relevant state law; these European terms do not replace those rights. We do not rely on one form checkbox to justify every use of information.

Purpose, legal basis and practical boundary
PurposeLegal basisBoundary
Answer an enquiry or scope requested workContract: steps taken at your request before entering a contract. Consent also records your permission to handle the submitted details and reply.Sending the form is not acceptance of a fabrication order. The record is used to respond to the work you asked about.
Support conversationConsent to handle the chat; contract where the conversation concerns steps you request toward a scope. The conversation token supports the chat you opened. It is not an advertising permission.
Operate and protect the siteLegitimate interest in delivering the site, preventing misuse and diagnosing faults.Technical logs have a 30-day retention period. Legitimate interest is not used to override an advertising opt-out.
Optional advertising and analyticsConsent for advertising storage, advertising user data, personalization and analytics storage. The four Consent Mode v2 signals remain denied until permission is given and return to denied on decline or withdrawal.
Honour rights and retain a choiceLegal obligation where privacy law requires a response; legitimate interest in applying and documenting the visitor's choice.A request is answered within 10 days. Verification is limited to what is needed to protect the relevant record.
15 / European visitors

You can question and control the record.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides the rights below where it applies. A GDPR request does not require an account, and no account is offered on this site. Some rights depend on the basis of processing and the circumstances of the request.

Access and rectification
Ask whether we process your personal information, obtain a copy, and ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. Identify the message or contact detail that needs correction so it is not confused with another enquiry.
Erasure and restriction
Ask for deletion where a right to erasure applies. Ask for processing to be restricted while accuracy or an objection is being considered, or in other circumstances provided by law. We explain any lawful exception rather than treating a request as an automatic refusal.
Portability
Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, request the information you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. You may ask for transfer to another controller where technically feasible.
Objection
Object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. You may object to direct marketing at any time, including associated profiling. Advertising choices are also available through the cookie controls.
Withdraw consent
Withdraw a consent through the relevant storage controls or contact the workshop about enquiry or chat consent. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing. A record required on a separate legal basis may still need to be retained, and we explain that basis.
16 / US state privacy law

An opt-out does not close the enquiry route.

California's CCPA/CPRA and other US state privacy laws in force provide rights according to their applicability. A CCPA request can be sent to the same contact as any other privacy request. You do not have to accept optional cookies to make one.

Know, access and obtain a copy
Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information held about you, the sources and purposes of collection, and the categories of recipients. Where applicable, request a portable copy.
Correct or delete
Request correction of inaccurate personal information or deletion, subject to legal exceptions. The need to verify the request does not give us permission to collect unrelated information.
Opt out of sale or sharing
Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising as those terms are defined by the law that applies. Advertising disclosures can count as sharing even without a payment for the information. Decline optional storage, use a recognised Global Privacy Control signal, or send the request to the workshop.
Sensitive information and profiling
Where applicable, request limits on use or disclosure of sensitive personal information and opt out of qualifying profiling. This enquiry route does not ask for sensitive personal information; do not include it in an open message.
Equal treatment and appeals
We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Where your state law provides an appeal, reply to our decision and identify it as a privacy appeal. You may also use an authorised agent, with the authority and identity checks required by applicable law.
17 / Data request

Ask for the record, not another form.

A data request is answered within 10 days. Email [email protected] or write to Zunbik at 83 Station Road, Werkstatt 2, Austin, Texas 88799, Austin, Texas, United States. State the right you want to exercise in plain language.

Help locate it
Use the email address associated with the enquiry where possible. Give the approximate date and any receipt reference you have. For a chat, describe when it took place. Do not paste a chat token into a public message or send a full identity document.
Verification
We may need limited information to confirm that you are entitled to the record. An authorised agent can contact us and provide evidence of authority. Verification protects the record from being disclosed to the wrong person.
Our answer
We explain the action taken or the reason a request cannot be fully met, including any applicable retention obligation. If clarification is needed, the answer identifies the missing information. We do not require a new service enquiry or payment details to handle a privacy request.
Access / Alternative route

A form barrier should not block a request.

If a control, table or message is difficult to use, contact the workshop by email or phone. Privacy requests and service enquiries are accepted through those routes without requiring you to complete the online form first.

Report the barrier
Tell us the page address and the control or passage causing difficulty. Mention your browser or assistive technology only if useful to explaining the problem. You do not need to disclose a disability or medical information.
Request another format
Ask for the relevant notice or enquiry information in plain text by email. The ledger is structured with labelled rows; on smaller screens those rows become separate blocks rather than a squeezed table.
Contact without the widget
Call +1 (228) 555-2923 or email [email protected]. The support chat is an additional route, not the only way to reach Zunbik.

18 / Human contact

The workshop handles privacy questions too.

For a question about a record or this notice, contact Zunbik directly. Keep a privacy request separate from new dimensions or changes to a proposed job so the two requests can be handled for their own purposes.
